Did you just say "cookie?" I think you did! Whenever I recognize some odd "human words", I feel so proud of myself! When Mom says "cookie", I get all excited, because I know what it means and I always come running. I also know the words "sit", "jump up", "Let's go for a walk!" and "where's your ball?" My favorite word besides "cookie" is "ball", because I know that they are talking about my biggest obsession! And whenever they say this wonderful word, I get all excited and go get my little tennis ball and drop it at Mom's feet! I am the smartest little dog ever! "Hey Mom, did you just say "cookie" again?
It's very unusual for me to post two things in one day, but I just had to share this! Yep, it's baby Flora, who was born last late Summer. She always has a lot to say, and boy can she keep me outside with her talking! When she wants food, she's usually very...loud. It's really not fair, because when I bark when I want something, I don't get it, and when Flora barks (or whatever the noise she makes is called) she gets whatever she wants, no matter what! The age doesn't matter and I AM cuter than she is, right?
Sorry I have not been posting on my daily blog lately, fans of mine, but a terrible thing happened a couple days ago. Scout, my good friend, and my family's most beloved chicken, died. We think a hawk got her and we are all very upset. We know that she is truly happy now in Heaven though, reuniting with my other farm friends that have also passed. We love and miss you, Scout and we will always think of you. We will always remember the times when you came up to our front door and begged for banana (and when you always got a big piece.)
I don't know why our chickens sit on eggs! Sometimes, they don't even get out of their beds for days! Even when I ask them why they do that, they won't tell me anything and cluck that it is their "personal business." Well, I'm going to find out for myself what happens when I sit on these eggs for a few hours! I won't even get up to eat anything! Well....maybe that's not such a good idea. I can sit on the eggs and eat at the same time, I guess...
It's a beautiful yet a little chilly day outside today, but with this sweater on, I'm not cold at all! We have 1 foot of snow here, but since I am so light, I can walk on top of it! I am so ready for spring though, because this is our fourth month of cold winter here in Vermont! I always get so excited when I see the first beautiful flower emerge from the ground. And, when it's warmer outside, I get to spend more time with my little goat friends! :-)
Welcome, friends! This is my first blog post, and I am excited to be starting it! With this Daily Blog, you will be able to see updates and pictures of me almost every day! You can put comments below, and thank you for supporting me! - Annie
